“He must quit Arsenal to be the nex NEYMAR”: Brazilian forward told to leave Emirates Stadium and accept bumper Real Madrid’s offer

Former Chelsea star Ramires believes it is only a matter of time before Real Madrid try to sign Gabriel Martinelli, insisting there is ‘always another level’ above Arsenal.

Signed from relative obscurity in 2019, Martinelli has recovered from a serious knee injury to become an integral part of Mikel Arteta’s plans in north London, playing a key role in the Gunners’ rise to the top of the Premier League this season.

The Brazil international’s contract expires in 2024 with the option to extend that by a further year with Real Madrid linked with a move in the past. Barcelona have more recently been credited with interest.

Former Chelsea midfielder Ramires has been hailed his countryman’s ‘tremendous’ season for the Gunners and believes it is only natural for him to think about joining teams such as Real or Juventus
